Welcome to your Moviebase.com.au - Australia's first dedicated Blu ray and 3D Movie rental service

Since the very early 80's I've been involved in home video rental, through the battle of VHS and Beta to the transition of VHS to DVD and now - with the predicted end of physical media - the Blu-ray disc. 

Blu-ray literally blew me away from the first film I watched. Reliving some of the old movies I grew up with on VHS and even DVD looked like a photograph of what I remembered, when I watched them again on Blu-ray - it took me there - back to the time when I first enjoyed the thrill of cinema and the big screen experience.

Never before could we have such pristine quality in our lounge rooms. Enjoying movies, television and music the way they were initially intended - in Full High Definition with incomparable vision and uncompressed sound. Blu-ray will at the very least mark the end of physical media in style. But that is quite a while away yet.
